Why Sponsor The WASM Wallabies?
The exposure companies receive by sponsoring The WASM Wallabies (TWW) comes from a combination of representation on various apparel, written and verbal media, banners and mine tours. Each international competition hosts many leading mining universities worldwide and it is not uncommon for international media to attend. Teams from WASM regularly feature in interviews due to their success in recent years, and the stigma of the Australian Mining industry. The AusIMM newsletter, Western Australian School of Mines Graduate Association (WASMGA) newsletter, and WASM newsletters all regularly report on the Wallabies success in the competition, with special mention to all our supporters and sponsors.
TWW attract students from all facets of Mining-related studies. The Wallabies are comprised of students studying Mining Engineering, Geology, Surveying, Extractive Metallurgy, Geophysics and Geochemistry. Presence at our social events provides your company exposure to the next generation of industry leaders and ensures our driven individuals take interest in sponsors on a personal and professional level.
TWW shirts and banners travel with them, not only to the ICMC, but to local community events such as Engineering Outreach and the Engineering First Years O-Week.
TWW are committed to representing their sponsors in the best way possible. The Wallabies represent their sponsors from 4 weeks prior to the competition, and continue to do so up until 4 weeks prior to the following competition.
